A Wedding Venue with a Personal Touch

Set in the Norfolk countryside, Brakehill Barns offers a relaxed, characterful setting for couples looking for something a little different. With a beautiful barn, gardens and open countryside views, it is a place to bring family and friends together and celebrate at your own pace.

As a family-run venue, we want your celebration to feel personal rather than packaged. Whether you picture a simple, intimate gathering or a lively weekend with all your favourite people, we are happy to talk through your ideas and help you explore what might work at Brakehill Barns.

Our journey into weddings began in May 2023, when our daughter Madeleine celebrated her own wedding here. Seeing our own family enjoy such a special occasion inspired us to renovate the barn and share the setting with other couples creating memories of their own.

Your Wedding Weekend

We offer exclusive hire of the barn and gardens for a Friday-to-Sunday wedding weekend, giving you more time to prepare, celebrate and enjoy the company of your guests. Rather than rushing through a single day, you can make the most of the surroundings and create a celebration that reflects you as a couple.

You are welcome to discuss setting up in the week before your event. We can also share suggestions for local suppliers and practical arrangements to help bring your plans together.

We want you to have the freedom to add your own style and personality to the space. For example, we hired a large tipi for our own Prosecco bar, which provided a lovely sheltered place for guests to gather. We are happy to discuss similar ideas for your celebration.

Accommodation for Your Guests

One of the benefits of a wedding weekend is having the opportunity to stay close to the celebration. Our accommodation options include bell tents and a Shepherd’s Hut, allowing some guests to stay on site and enjoy a more relaxed weekend.

The accommodation costs are included in the package breakdown below. As the whole site is reserved for your wedding, the price reflects the accommodation that would otherwise be available for individual bookings during those nights.

Additional spaces

Depending on your plans and availability, the Orangery in the main house may be available for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. It offers an indoor bathroom and access to a patio for pre-wedding photographs. An annex may also be available for additional guest accommodation. Please ask us about availability and current rates when enquiring.

Help Bringing Your Ideas to Life

Planning a wedding involves lots of moving parts, and we are happy to share advice on local suppliers and practical details. We can point you towards options for bar supplies from local breweries, table and chair hire, florists, caterers, bar staff, photographers, videographers, additional toilets and DJs.

If you would like more hands-on help with planning and coordination, please ask us about the support we may be able to offer and any associated costs. We want you to feel confident about the arrangements and enjoy making the day your own.
