It has been a year full of highlights and, of course, a few challenges along the way!
Our family has grown, with our daughter and son-in-law welcoming a beautiful baby boy to the Brakehill team. His arrival came right in the middle of the intense summer heatwave, but we made it through!
May, July and August were our wedding months, and it has been a pleasure to be part of so many special occasions. Congratulations to all the happy couples! Their photos will soon be added to our Couples Wall of Fame in the barn.
Oak Lodge has also been greatly appreciated by our guests, and the team here have loved reading all the kind reviews. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their experience with us.
We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Norfolk and Better Farmers Market flourish. Just a five-minute walk from Brakehill Barns, the market takes place on the first Saturday of each month and offers our guests a real local treat. It is wonderful to see it going from strength to strength, showcasing the talented artisans and food producers in our area. It is also a lovely reminder of the community spirit here in Carbrooke, bringing neighbours together for a catch-up on a sunny Saturday morning.
As we look forward to some slower autumn days, we are also getting ready for our Christmas wreath-making event at the end of November. The Brakehill team will take a little time to reflect on the year and work on an exciting new project for 2027. We cannot wait to share more, so keep an eye on our Instagram for photos and updates very soon!
